How to make Kurkuri Bhindi

Kurkuri bhindi as the name itself creates an image in the mind of the crunchy crispiness. Kurkuri bhindi is a very common dish among Indians. Ladyfinger as a normally cooked vegetable is just not enjoyed by my daughter so i decided to make kurkuri bhindi for her and yes her response was a success to me :). So with few twists we can even convince fussy kids to eat regular vegetables. Kurkuri bhindi can be served as a side dish or a snack depending on the occasion and mood of family. If one is tired of eating ladyfinger a regular way then this kurkuri bhindi will add nice twist to your meal.

Its an easy okra recipe and tasty too.

Ingredients required to make kurkuri bhindi are

  • Ladyfingers (okra) – 10-12 pieces
  • Gram flour (besan) – 2 tbsp
  • Rice Flour – 1 tbsp
  • Ajowan (carom seeds) – ½ tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chilli powder – ½ tbsp
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Dry mango powder (amchoor) – to garnish
